Bob Martinez Leading Huckabee Charge

Former Republican Party Chair Bob Martinez is leading Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s efforts in Colorado. If he is half as successful with Huckabee as he was when he was leading the state GOP, Huckabee should have an excellent shot at fourth place.

Former State Republican Party Chairman Bob Martinez has taken on an effort to rally delagates in Colorado on behalf of Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee.  Martinez has issued a call for those registered Republican’s eligible to vote in the precinct caucuses on February 5th to support Governor Huckabee and run for delegate and support others who do.

Martinez’s call tells prospective delegates to go to www.mikehuckabee.com, register to be a delegate or volunteer and contribute $25, $50, $100 or more then call their County Clerk and determine what precinct they are in, who their precinct committeepersons are and get a list of other Republicans in their precinct, call them and ask for their support.

Martinez said he was honored to be allowed to help lead the grassroot efforts of the Huckabee Campaign in Colorado.  Martinez and his wife met with Governor Huckabee when he visited Colorado Springs in the past year and felt an “immediate connection” with the Governor.

“I found him to be a warm, caring and intelligent human being.  I have since grown to admire his strong ability to communicate with the American people. His humble background, previous pastorial leadership and his strong executive experience as Governor of Arkansas is something that will attract people, “Martinez said.

“Most importantly is his vision for the country. He not only adheres to basic conservative principles of smaller government, low taxes and individual freedom and individual responsibility but he advocates a bold new economic program to move the country forward.  The new program calls for eliminating the IRS and implementing a new ‘Fair Tax’ which taxes consumption instead of production.  It will increase our capabilities to be more productive and competitive in the world economy,” said Martinez.

Martinez said Governor Huckabee is a strong advocate for small business, entrepenuership, a strong military, family values, preservation of traditional marriage, right to life, gun rights, secure borders and improved educational opportunities.

“As Governor of Arkansas for ten years, he inherited a deficit of 250 million dollars and he left office with an 800 million dollar surplus. He cut taxes 94 times, improved the highway system, improved education, helped expand the economy and created jobs.  He was recognized as one of the nation’s  best Governors,” said Martinez.

Martinez who has served as a Republican precinct leader, District Captain, County Chairman, State Chairman and National Commiteeman, says that the upcoming Presidential election will be a “critical juncture in our nation’s future” so everyone should play an active role in deciding our new leadership.
